Hello there foodies!

So, here it is, my first post. Makes complete sense to start a blog; I don’t know why I didn’t think of it sooner.

I mean a blog encompasses everything I know and love. I love to read (and that includes recipes), I love to write, and I love to cook! Cooking itself is therapeutic. Whatever I’m feeling, cooking helps me. I love to be in the kitchen by myself. There really isn’t anything like the aroma of chocolate chip cookies in the oven or the way the kitchen window mists itself up as a dish simmers on the stove on a cold winter day.

I think that the first thing that I can do here is to just let you all know what I might be blogging about. As the title suggests, this blog will have everything to do with food. I love to cook and look forward to sharing some recipes with you. Normally, I begin with a recipe find online. I then go ahead and add or remove things from it. I enjoy tweaking recipes to make it my own. As a student, I don’t always have all the ingredients needed in a given recipe and so must substitute simpler items. As a result, over the years, I have gathered quite a collection, all kept in a shoebox, entirely disorganized.

As a student, I also don’t always have the time to cook for myself or my family. Located in the large and diverse city like Toronto, I always have a great number of choices when it comes to eating out. This includes fast food eateries. So here, in addition to recipes, I will add my own reviews of restaurants.

I look forward to blogging, and hopefully creating somewhat of a worthwhile read for you!
